"Disciple" is a 32-week Bible study program of the United Methodist Church offered at four levels. Each class begins in early fall and runs through late spring with meeting times established for the convenience of those choosing to participate in the classes.

Fellowship:
United Methodist Men - a creative, supportive fellowship of men who encourage a knowledge of and support for the total mission of The United Methodist Church.

United Methodist Women - a supportive fellowship which expands concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.

Youth Ministries - We are out there! Youth Ministries at First UMC IOP is putting our faith into action. We are two different groups that work together as one ministry. We have Middle school ministry (grade 6-8) and a high school ministry (grades 9-12). We both meet on Sunday nights. Middle school meets from 5:30-7:00 p.m. and high school meets from 6:30-8:15 p.m. during the school year. In addition to our weekly meetings, we go on winter ski retreats, summer mission trips, volunteer at local mission organizations, and hold events for our church family. We also have a crazy �Souper Bowl� party, a Valentine�s Day dinner/dance, Halloween carnival, and lots of other opportunities to be involved. But most importantly, what we do is grow together in Christ and spend time getting to know Him, each other, and ourselves. We talk about subjects that are important and that you are concerned about. "Crafty Ladies" - is a group that gathers each Wednesday at 10:00 a.m., from September until the annual bazaar/tea room, to work on craft projects for the bazaar. Talent is not necessary. There is a project for everyone.

Music:
Chancel choir - Practices held Wednesdays at 7:15 p.m., except in July and August when held Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m. to learn the music for the 10:45 a.m. service that day.

Handbell choir - Practices held Wednesdays at 6:00 p.m., but not during the summer.

Childrens choir - Practices held Thursdays at 5:30 p.m., but not during the summer.

Cherub choir - Practices held Wednesdays at 5:00 p.m., but not during the summer.

Praise Team - Practices held Thursdays at 7:00 p.m.
