Wesley May Update!

Graduation season is here! We are so excited to send off our seniors out into the world taking along with them all of the training and experience Wesley offered to them. It is sad to say farewell, but it is such a rewarding experience to watch them cross the stage!

On May 12, we are also sending a group on an Advocacy Trip to Washington DC! While in our nation’s capital, we will participate in some urban ministry as well as visit the various sites. A particularly exciting element about this trip is that a large focus will be expanding the students’ theology. We will discuss topics such as “God and Science,” “God and Government,” and “God and Tragedy.”

Lastly, in May, we go through a season of rest, planning, and transition. We are welcoming 3 new interns, a new Citadel Wesley President, and an administrative assistant to our team. But we also bid goodbye to our Graduating Intern, Morgan Smith, our current Citadel President, Drew Forester, and our Assistant Director, Clayton Tovo. We are so thankful for all that they have done for this ministry, and we are excited to see how God uses them ahead!

NEEDS FOR THIS MONTH:

In May, we spend a lot of time planning and preparing. To that end, we are scheduling, visioning, and fundraising $500 for our Women’s Ministry. We are asking some of our partners in the community to help us raise this $500 in May. With that amount, we can properly plan and budget in order to serve the ladies in our ministry next school year. Every dollar over the $500 will go to other programming for next year!

Please pray for Morgan Smith (CofC), Maggie May (CofC), Asher Huddlestun (CSU), David Kaufmann (Citadel), Weston Smith (Citadel), Ethan Goswick (Citadel), Blaine Geiger (Citadel), Hayden Eoff (Citadel), Drew Forester (Citadel), Colton Capps (Citadel), Grace Cooper (Citadel), Gavin Bond (Citadel), Zyhnue Alvarado (Citadel), Will McNay (Citadel), and Iann Tiller (Citadel) as they all graduate and navigate this transitional period.

Please pray between May 12 and May 18 for the group going to DC. Pray for safe travels, connectional ministry, and eye opening discoveries.
